Boeing continues to make strides in Charleston towards more 787 production, as they assembled their first new plane this week.
The Charleston plant was just building parts of the plane, and then shipping to Seattle for final production
The Boeing to Charleston move hasn’t been all smooth sailing as the union dispute and the lag in Boeing getting its first planes off the assembly line and on to the airlines, have been much written about.
The $750 million plant, is the largest industrial investment in South Carolina state history.
We here in Charleston are very pleased with the jobs and Boeings legacy of being one of the greats in aviation history.
