The Dig South Summit in downtown Charleston, brought in entrepreneurs, investors, tech executives, marketers, founders, programmers and authors from around the country.
Founder Stanfield Gray said the tech conference, now in its seventh year, is an effort to highlight and grow the Southeast’s tech sector overall, positioning it be more competitive with tech hubs like Boston, New York City and Silicon Valley. Gray added that the three-day conference assists in giving companies access to global brands and creates space for attendees to connect. Those interactions can spur a venture capitalist to invest in a Southeast startup or a help a mid-sized business in Charleston gain insight from a seasoned executive on how to quickly scale operations.
The 2019 theme was “What’s Your Story?” Attendees heard from executives, founders and entrepreneurs about emerging technologies, financing, digital marketing, branding and growth strategies.
